Andrew McCormick

Andrew McCormick is a Washington state Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and the Senior Portfolio Manager with Cottonwood Capital Management. Previously, he worked for BlackRock’s alternative investments division with a focus on their natural resource closed-end funds.

In the preceding years he founded and operated Atlas Ratings, a risk ratings agency covering CFTC-registered futures commission merchants. Through this company he provided supportive research to Senator Bachas’s senate agricultural committee hearing and assisted investors in avoiding the failure of Peregrine Financial (PFGBest).

In the years before Atlas Ratings he was the managing member for MKC Global Investments, a CFTC-registered commodity pool operator. Over the years he’s contributed to TheStreet, ZeroHedge, and the Wall Street Journal.
